Applications, Tuition, & Housing


Tuition includes basic materials for the workshop. Students will receive a list of tools and supplies to bring with them once they are accepted. Tuition does not include room and board.

Summer Institute Package

The Summer Institute Package price is for registration in two workshops, one in Session I and one in Session II.

To Apply  

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until a workshop or seminar is full. A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 will be due upon acceptance to hold your spot in a workshop. Applications will continue to be accepted until workshops are full. Once full, additional qualified applicants will have the option to be added to a waiting list.


On-Campus housing is available for a limited number of students and requires submission of a Mills housing application directly to our program at Please download and complete the form, and we will contact you for confirmation and billing instructions.

Mills College is located at 5000 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland, CA 94613 off of Highway 580 in Oakland at the junction of 580 (MacArthur Freeway) and Highway 13 (Warren Freeway), approximately seven miles from the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. On-Campus Parking

Free on-campus parking will be provided to participating students.

On-Campus Dining

The Tea Shop at Mills College offers a variety of dining options during most meal hours. An updated summer schedule will be available prior to arriving to campus.
